Government to review the impact of transparency on privacy

As part of its drive to open up public data, the Cabinet Office recently announced a review that they hope will help them strike the right balance between transparency and privacy.

It will be led by Dr Kieron O’Hara, a Senior Research Fellow in electronics and computer science at the University of Southampton.

Dr O’Hara will be supported from the Cabinet Office’s Transparency Team. Findings from the Review will be published in March 2011.
